Clinical Practice Training

CHPW partners with expert trainers to make sure that providers have the resources that they need to deliver the best care to members. CHPW collaborates with the Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) Managed Care Organizations to identify trainings and resources to support providers in integration efforts. These MCO Resources are hosted by the Association of Washington Healthcare Plans (AWHP). CHPW has curated additional resources below including training programs, webinars and other resources.

Featured Programs & Resources
All Patients Safe – Suicide Prevention Training

All Patients Safe was developed by mental health providers and public health experts with lived experience and has been widely adopted by organizations such as UW Medicine. Register at apsafe.uw.edu. It includes the following benefits:

  • Meets state licensure requirements for medical and behavioral health care providers to assist in reducing suicide through improved training
  • 3-hour course for all client-facing staff
  • 6-hour course for medical and other licensed professionals
  • Optional CE is available for both courses for a nominal fee
Mental Health First Aid

Just as CPR training helps a person with no medical background assist an individual following a heart attack, MHFA training helps a person assist individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use related crisis.
