5 Questions with Jessica Da Hora
CHPW Program Coordinator
1) How long have you been with CHPW and what does your current role entail?
I have returned to CHPW for over a month now. I'm working as a Program Coordinator under the Performance Management department. As a Program Coordinator my main focus is Health Homes, specifically with Medicaid and DSNP members, and Health Services Delegation.
2) What has kept you here at CHPW/what brought you back?
Many things brought me back to CHPW, one of the things that I appreciate the most is the company’s values plus how we serve our community in general. In addition, I love how diverse our teams are and how everyone in the company is so friendly and ready to help.
3) What makes you proud in your work?
While I am still finding out the depth of my position as a Program Coordinator, what makes me proud about my work is to see that my ideas and values are considered and taking into action. Aside from that, I am also loving that I have the opportunity to contribute and learn from such a great team.
4) How do you maintain a sense of camaraderie with your team now being hybrid/fully remote?
My leadership has done a great job to make me feel included. We have been working in a hybrid capacity and when we are not interacting in person we keep in touch through meetings/ huddles in TEAMS. Twice a week we have an optional 30 min “Hello” meeting in which we can chat and catch up with our coworkers. Our leadership also encourages us to be social and participate in events available in our building or our team.
5) What is something people don’t know about you?
I jumped out of an airplane! I took the leap (literally), and fulfilled a lifelong dream to go skydiving. Honestly, it was one of the most amazing (and dare I say, spiritual) experiences of my life. There’s something about conquering a major fear that gives you an enormous boost of self-esteem and perspective. Whenever I’m nervous about going into an important business meeting or stepping on stage at a big event, I say to myself, "Girl, you jumped out of a plane and survived! What could you possibly be nervous about???"
