Individuals and families that have been forcibly displaced from their countries due to conflict, crisis, and disaster come to the U.S. with a variety of unique needs due to past traumatic experiences, pressured adaptation, complex systems, and, for some, lack of permanency due to immigration status.
Providers who work with forcibly displaced people need to understand the factors to effectively and compassionately serve clients.
Participants may register for either or both sessions. These sessions are open to all professionals seeking to learn more.

Each session has been approved for 1.5 CEUs by the NASW Washington State Chapter. Licensed Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors are eligible.
An evaluation must be completed after attending the training.
