Every baby should sleep safely

CHPW’s Baby Bassinet Box program helps parents keep their baby safe while sleeping. The program teaches parents Safe Sleep practices through a short video. They get a baby box that comes with a mattress and a fitted sheet. The box can be a safe place for baby to sleep for their first six months. Safe Sleep habits can help protect babies from sleep related deaths.

The box comes with products to help you care for your baby:

  • A Diaper Bag
  • Baby clothes
  • Diapers
  • Baby Wipes
  • Thermometer

How to get your baby box

Most Community Health Centers (CHCs) have boxes on hand. CHPW members in their third trimester can get a box. CHCs might ask members to enroll in Maternity Support Services.

A maternity nurse gives parents a baby box during a visit. They will show members how to safely use the box.  Members will watch a short Safe Sleep video and then take their box home.
