Any action that makes it more difficult for people to get affordable, quality healthcare is the wrong action.
Millions of Americans rely on the Affordable Care Act for coverage. President Trump’s recent executive orders are designed to destabilize the individual market and undermine the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by forcing insurance companies to either raise premiums or pull out of the insurance marketplaces. It’s a callous political act that reveals a lack of empathy for the people who rely on the ACA for affordable health care coverage. Those who do not have the benefit of employer coverage and are older or who have chronic or preexisting conditions will find themselves without an affordable option.
We urge our nation’s leaders to work together to improve our health care system and increase the quality and availability of health care to everyone.
