State Programs Enrollee Materials

For State programs (Healthy Options, CHIP, Basic Health Plus, Basic Health, Washington Health Program, Medical Care Services) CHPW makes available enrollee benefit materials and posts information on the web site describing plan services and features. The printed materials and web content contain helpful information about how to use the plan, its benefits, enrollee rights and responsibilities, and more.

In the new member packet, Healthy Options, CHIP, and Basic Health Plus enrollees get:

  • A printed Healthy Options Supplement (see the most current supplement on the website), which contains important benefit and service information, including excerpts from the Washington State Your Medical Benefit Book.
  • How to Find Important Information: A listing of information enrollees can find on the CHPW website or can request in print from CHPW Customer Service.
  • An order card for those who want to read more about any topic in How to Find Important Information.
  • The Community Health Plan of Washington Notice of Privacy Practices and Member Rights and Responsibilities.
  • A brochure about the Assurance cell phone offer.
  • A flyer about the Children First™ rewards program for pregnant women and children.
  • Additional up-to-date information such as grievances and appeals processes and utilization management practices and policies.

Children First™

CHPW rewards members who get check-ups and preventive care on time. Children First™ is our reward program for children and pregnant women who get scheduled care.

Pregnant CHPW members who get prenatal care can get a FREE car seat.

Children from birth to age 13 who get well child check-ups on time can get FREE rewards such as:

School supplies
Thermometer

School backpacks
Baby Welcome Kit
