What does a Boys & Girls Club membership include?
The Boys & Girls Club helps kids achieve their potential through after school programs, character development, support, security, and mentorship. Read more about the impact Boys & Girls Club membership has on kids' lives.
As a CHPW member, your child will get:
- Free Club access during open hours: after school until 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
- Free after-school progams on healthy lifestyles, fitness, and homework support.
- Free snack or meal.
- Free transportation to and from the Club (in certain areas).
This membership doesn't include free enrollment in additional camps, sports leagues, licensed care or other programs.
Unfortunately, some areas don't have Boys & Girls Clubs. These include Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, and Yakima counties.
We're tackling childhood obesity!
Childhood obesity is an epidemic. Today, 1 in 3 children age 2-19 are overweight or obese. For minorities, the rates are even higher. Obesity, which is linked to diabetes and heart disease, robs our children of a healthy future, and that's not ok with us. Read more about childhood obesity from the Washington State Department of Health.
As part of our partnership with Boys & Girls Club, we're going to focus on nutrition education and healthy eating programs. We're excited to empower our kids to make positive choices about what they eat.
